Stop saying that the democratic party is a socialist party. Franklin Roosevelt is not a socialist, the economic philosophy of Franklin Roosevelt is Keynesian economics: the regulation of the free market, the economic philosophy of Ronald Reagan is Reagan economics: the deregulation of the free market, there's no need to over dramatize it, no need for an oversimplification, this is what the two parties have been saying for 80 years.
Socialism: the social ownership of the means of production, this is not part of the democratic party platform, we're not advocating that workers control the marketplace, democrats advocate for the regulation of the marketplace, there's a clear definition for a regulated market place, it's called Keynesian economics. The environmental protection agency does not control the environment, it regulates the environment, regulations is what we believe it, not social ownership. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Keynesian_economics
The problem with Bernie Sanders is that he doesn't understand the difference between democratic socialism and social democracy, the two have very different definitions. Do you understand how scared the American people are going to be when they realize what socialism is? You are confusing it with social democracy, social democracy is what we democrats believe it not socialism. If you are actually advocating for a $ 15.00 minimum wage, this is not socialism, this is social democracy, socialism is when you advocate that workers controls the marketplace, you're not asking for equal control of the business, you're asking for an individual to be paid $ 15.00 minimum wage, that is not socialism, that is social democracy. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Social_democracy
